I suggest the Aw2721d until acer figures out what is wrong with their panel. QC has gone to crap nowadays with monitor manufacturers. Update 1/2/21 I exchanged the acer 3 times because it had terrible flickering, vertical black lines, and image retention on each one. So, I set the LG OLED to 144 Hz and re-recorded the test. So for a final verdict in my opinion, the Acer is clearly a better gaming monitor. After I posted the motion clarity of my 27GR95QE OLED running at 240 Hz vs my 144 Hz IPS LCD, a few people pointed out that it wasn’t a fair comparison since the OLED was running at a faster refresh rate. I didn't notice any difference in having a gsync module or not, so it didn't matter (although the AW has a fan in it, which I don't like. Many people won't use the HDR in both because they are still both too low for a serious quality HDR experience (in my humble opinion). And dell just recently put it on sale for the holidays from $1100 to $889. I've seen Amazon fluctuate between $733 and $800+. It's currently "on sale" on Amazon and so who knows what the hell the price will be after the holidays. Probably cause price matters to a lot of people and no matter how you look at it, the alienware is more expensive. "I don't know why he's focused on the price". other experts and potential end users through online forums Using market research tools like Google Trends and the Pew Research Center Test marketing. Everyone that has both seems to prefer the Acer. I see a lot of people blindly defending the AW on here for some reason, and they haven't even used the Acer. Going to be sending the AW back because of bad IPS glow, slower response time, doesn't have ulmb, can't hit 10bit color past 144hz, stand has a larger desk footprint, has a fan inside, and it's more expensive.
